Jack Magnus is a Minneapolis based creative that specializes in graphic design, motion, illustration, and writing. He uses narrative based work to push ideas beyond marginal, exhausted, and majority represented themes.
Commodified Bodies uses performance and printmaking to uncover the correlations between thoughts and unconscious perceptions of bodies. Socially engaged performance invites participants to an open discussion about their relationships. It uses participatory design to redefine contemporary forms of love. This action is codified through print, image, and cyanotype processing. Commodified Bodies is a re-interpretation. Itβs a call for active effort and conscious attention across relationships. Through this exhibit, the act of affection is understood through graphic design.
